Process Principle
The CO2 in water, which will make the water acidic, detail reaction as below:
CO2 + H2O = H+ + HCO3-. Under this situation, H+ in the water will make the metal such as carbon steel occur dehydrogenase polarization corrosion, which damage to the ferrous member,detail reaction is: H+ + 2e = H2
Fe = Fe + 2e
Especially in the high temperature chemical demineralized water which is without cushioning, the CO2 in the water will promote the steel corrosion greatly, therefore must be suppressed the electro-chemical reaction. Adding ammonia in the water to improve the PH valve can effectively suppress H+ dissociation then control the metal corrosion.
Process Overview
This device consists of five main parts: solution metering system, dissolution system, dosing system, safty system and control system.
The ammonia water is inhalated into the metering system by a injector, then doses to the dissolution system proportionally and mixes with the condensate or demineralized water, at last dosing to the boiler condensate by the dosing system. For the controller model, both manual control and automatic digital control with the signal can be chosen.
